How long do Implant lenses last?

Implant lenses (also called intraocular lenses) are made of materials such as acrylic or silicone that are ‘biocompatible’. This means that they do not provoke an immune response or an allergic reaction in the body. Unlike our own lenses, these Implant lenses hardly suffer the test of time. As a result, they do not need to be replaced.

If there is a reason to replace the lenses, it is certainly possible. For example, if someone is less satisfied with the result or if a newer technique becomes available in the future.
