How long will I suffer from dry eyes after the treatment?
The nerves in the cornea transmit information to the lacrimal glands. With laser eye surgery, this process is temporarily disrupted because the nerve fibers are damaged. This makes the eyes drier. Fortunately, the nerve fibers grow back, so it’s a temporary problem. Until then you can use artificial tears.
