What is the difference between cataract surgery and lens replacement treatment?

Lens replacement is a surgical procedure that uses the same techniques as modern cataract surgery. Cataract surgery is the most commonly performed surgical procedure today. The main difference is that cataract surgery removes a natural lens that has become cloudy and therefore restricts vision. With a lens replacement treatment, the lens is not cloudy. An advantage of a lens replacement treatment is that you can no longer get cataracts.
