Will I have pain after the treatment?

That depends a bit on the laser eye treatment you have chosen and your own pain experience. Some people describe the feeling after a TransPRK treatment as irritation similar to shampoo in the eye, while others experience it as somewhat painful. You can compare it to a scrape. This feeling disappears with TransPRK after 2 to 3 days. The top layer (the epithelium) is then healed again.

People who have had IntraLASIK treatment have a burning sensation for only 4 to 6 hours. After a ReLEx® SMILE treatment, most patients experience hardly any discomfort. Most people suffer from dry eyes. We have eye drops (artificial tears) for that. How long this complaint lasts varies per treatment and per patient.
