1. Our Guarantee: Our Care Commitment to Your Vision

At Visus Eye Clinic, we believe that high-quality care does not end after your treatment. That is why we make a long-term promise to safeguard your vision. This means you retain the lifelong right to a complimentary enhancement treatment, provided that there is medically justified refractive regression and the enhancement is technically feasible. Our goal is to give you the confidence that your vision remains in reliable hands for many years to come.

2. What Is Included in the Lifetime Guarantee?

Laser Eye Surgery (ReLEx SMILE Pro, IntraLASIK, TransPRK and LASEK)

The guarantee applies when:

• Your vision declines due to a change in refractive error
• The remaining refractive error is greater than +1.00 dioptre or –0.75 dioptre
• An enhancement can be safely performed based on factors such as corneal thickness, shape and stability
• Your visual symptoms can be objectively improved with a laser correction

In these cases, we offer you the following at Visus Eye Clinic, without additional costs:

• An additional laser enhancement
• All follow-up appointments related to the enhancement

Lens Implantation and Lens Replacement (ICL and RLE)

The guarantee applies when:

• A remaining refractive error persists of more than +1.00 dioptre or –0.75 dioptre
• The residual error can be corrected through a touch-up
• If the original lens choice does not achieve the desired result, a lens exchange can be performed, provided it is medically justified and technically feasible. The replacement lens may have different specifications.
• Posterior capsule opacification (“after-cataract”) develops. In that case, you are entitled to a free YAG-laser treatment.

3. Situations in Which We Do Not Perform an Enhancement

We do not provide a (free) enhancement when:

• The residual refractive error is too small to expect meaningful improvement
• An enhancement is medically unsafe—for example due to a thin cornea, irregular astigmatism, or risk of ectasia
• Other eye conditions are the cause of the visual complaints (e.g. cataract for laser patients, macular issues, glaucoma, keratopathy or corneal degenerations)
• Vision loss is caused by external factors, such as trauma or not following aftercare instructions
• Another eye treatment performed elsewhere affects the refractive outcome
• Symptoms consist solely of halos, glare, night-vision difficulties or dry eyes while objective measurement acuity is good
• For ICL treatments: if accelerated endothelial cell loss occurs, we remove the ICL free of charge, but we do not offer a replacement refractive procedure

4. Conditions for Using the Guarantee

To ensure safety and maintain quality:

• You follow the full aftercare programme as recommended by your eye surgeon
• Your follow-up appointments are carried out within Visus Eye Clinic
• A stable refractive error has been confirmed by our specialists
• The enhancement is medically responsible and technically feasible according to international safety standards
• When the treatment can be performed by Visus Eye Clinic
