Terms and Conditions Lowest Price Guarantee
The lowest price guarantee applies to clinics that meet ZKN quality requirements and use the latest (third-generation*) laser techniques.
Before your treatment, please inform one of our staff members if you have found the same treatment cheaper elsewhere. Unfortunately, reports received after the treatment date cannot be processed.
The lowest price guarantee applies to all our treatment methods. Promotions or temporary offers through external discount platforms will not be used as a basis for comparison.

Is a CLEAR procedure the same as a ReLEx SMILE Pro procedure?
At Visus Eye Clinic, we believe that a fair price comparison is only possible when the quality of the treatment, the technology used, and the quality of the clinic are all comparable. That is why our Lowest Price Guarantee applies exclusively to treatments that are technically and qualitatively equivalent.
CLEAR is not the same as ReLEx SMILE Pro
We are regularly asked whether the CLEAR procedure performed with the Ziemer FEMTO Z8 NEO is the same as ReLEx SMILE Pro performed with the ZEISS VisuMax 800.
The answer is no.
Although both procedures are flapless laser vision correction techniques that remove a lenticule from the cornea, they are two different treatment platforms that were developed independently and therefore cannot be compared on a one-to-one basis.
The laser technology, software, energy settings, and treatment algorithms differ significantly. As a result, the procedures are not technically identical and should not be regarded as equivalent.
Following a comprehensive evaluation of the available technologies, Visus Eye Clinic deliberately chose the ZEISS VisuMax 800. In our opinion, this platform currently offers the most advanced and best scientifically validated technology for flapless lenticule extraction procedures. That is why we exclusively perform ReLEx SMILE Pro treatments.
Why is this important for our Lowest Price Guarantee?
Our Lowest Price Guarantee is designed to ensure that patients never pay more for a genuinely equivalent treatment.
For this reason, we only compare treatments that:
- are performed using a technically equivalent treatment platform;
- provide a comparable level of quality and safety; and
- can genuinely be regarded as equivalent treatments.
Because CLEAR and ReLEx SMILE Pro are different treatment platforms, they are not automatically considered equivalent for the purposes of our Lowest Price Guarantee.
The quality of the clinic matters too
A fair comparison involves more than just the laser technology. The quality standards of the clinic are equally important.
For this reason, our Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to clinics that hold a full ZKN quality certification.
Candidate membership of ZKN is not the same as full ZKN accreditation. Candidate members are still in the certification process and have not yet obtained full ZKN certification. Therefore, for the purposes of our Lowest Price Guarantee, candidate-member clinics are not regarded as equivalent to fully accredited ZKN clinics.
By applying these criteria, we ensure that our patients receive not only a competitive price, but also treatment based on equivalent standards of technology, quality, and patient safety.
