Peter Hellenbrand became Dutch Air Rifle Shooting Champion a month after his laser treatment.
It almost seems obvious that shooting sports require good visibility. Still, sports shooter Peter Hellenbrand, who achieved an impressive fifth place at the 2012 Olympic Games, used to have to make do with shooting glasses, where the rotation of the glass is extremely important for correcting the cylinder deviation. If the glasses shifted even slightly, his vision was immediately clouded. Shooting with contact lenses was not an option. For shooting sports and the precision it requires, lenses must be kept spotless at all times, an impossible task. Hellenbrand had both eyes lasered at Visus Eye Clinic on August 20, 2015. Exactly one month later, on September 20, he became Dutch Air Rifle Champion.
“I have a lot more confidence in my shot.”
