Is a lens replacement treatment painful?

Many patients ask us whether a lens replacement treatment hurts. Fortunately this is not the case. During the treatment you will of course be locally anesthetized and you will not feel any pain. Also, you cannot see what the surgeon is doing. You only see colors and bright light, but no details. You may feel a little pressure on the eye.

After surgery, your eye may be a little irritated or dry. This is normal.

Most patients are relieved after the treatment that the treatment was so quick and painless.
