This has to do with the recovery process. The speed of recovery varies from person to person and from eye to eye. What you see in the first few days is not indicative of the result of the treatment. What you see partly depends on the brain having to get used to the new situation, the swelling in the cornea that has to disappear and the temporary dry eyes. The vision is generally good within two days, but can be variable in the first weeks . Most people go back to work after 3 days. The final result will be achieved in most patients after 4 to 6 months. Officially, we use a recovery process of 1 year, before a definitive stable situation is reached.
